Peggy Brown Nampijinpa
Peggy Brown Nampijinpa was born in 1941 in Yuendumu, Northern Territory.
She has participated in several organizations such as the women Night Patrol, the Mt Theo Petrol Sniffing program, The Women Centre, Warlpiri Media and Warlukurlangu Artists Aboriginal Association. Her participation and powerful persona has made her a woman respected for all members of the Yuendumu community.
In 2007 she received the Order of Australia Medal for her work in the successful petrol sniffing program, helping communities with this problem.
Peggy paints several dreamings like scorched land, but the one that feature constantly is her country Warlukurlangu (Fire Dreaming).
