Michael Lyons was born in 1952. He comes from Wiradjuri background from Narrandera, a town in South West of New South Wales.
Michael Lyons started making boomerangs and other artefacts from young age. Now he makes the finest aboriginal crafts like Didgeridoos, Coolamons (wooden bowls), Clap sticks (music sticks) Hunting clubs, and boomerangs. Michael makes his aboriginal artefacts in traditional way with the use of native materials and art quality pigments and paints.
In 2013 he was invited by French government to Paris to have an exhibition of his tribal culture and artefacts.
