Geneine Townsend (Nene)
Nene was born in Blacktown NSW and is a descendant of the Wiradjuri tribe from the Central West of New South Wales. She has lived on the Gold Coast (QLD) since the age of 11 and has had no formal training as an artist.
“I have always liked painting and drawing since High School and particularly enjoy painting murals depicting themes from my natural surroundings of the ocean and water using blue as a background and modern techniques like sponging to add depth to my pieces.” says Nene.
