Eileen Napaltjarri was born at Haasts Bluff, Northern Territory. She lived in Haasts Bluff when she was younger, however now she lives in Kintore with her family.
Eileen Napaltjarri is the daughter of Papunya Tula Artist Tatali Nangala and aka Charlie Tararu Tjungurrayi (Charlie Tarawa Tjungurrayi).
Eileen Napaltjarri learned painting from her parents. She was the only one of the seven siblings to follow her parents advice about painting. Eileen commenced painting at the age of 40 for Papunya Tula Artists in 1996 which her father had been one of the founders in the early 1970s.
Her paintings portray Women's Bush Tucker, Body Paint and the site of Tjitjurrulnga, her father's birth site to the west of Kintore, Northern Territory and her mother's site around Kintore.
Eileen Napaltjarri's artwork is sought after by art collectors. She had held a few solo and group exhibitions around Australia. In January 2008 - She was included in the Top 50 Most Collectable Artists - Australian Art Collector magazine.
